New to the Team

Welcome the Gugu Family: A Beautiful Symphony of Faith and Fun!

It’s with the greatest joy and a dash of excitement that we welcome our new team members, the Gugu Family! Imagine the perfect blend of Romanian resilience and American warmth, topped with a sprinkle of heavenly harmony. That’s the Gugu Family in a nutshell!

They arrived on 15 August 2024 and in the above photo, we have Luke and Daniel and then I’d like to introduce the new members based on their height. 😉

First, let’s talk about the patriarch of the Gugu clan, Mr. Gugu himself. He’s a Romanian father who is brave and kind. His skills are as vast as the Carpathian Mountains, and just as reliable; so, if you need a handyman, an advisor, or a wise sage to figure out why your pump won’t start, he’s your guy!

Then there’s Mrs. Gugu, our lovely American mother, who is a whiz with scissors, not just in the hair-styling department, but in teaching as well. From homeschooling to English classes, she’s got it covered. Her skills mean that she’s likely to make everyone look and feel fabulous in more ways than one.

Now, let’s meet the four incredible Gugu kids, each with a name as unique as their personalities. First, there’s Magnolia—our very own delicate flower. This teenage girl has a personality that matches the fragrance of her namesake and a musical talent that reaches for the stars. Next, we have Canyon, who is an adventurer at heart, full of energy and curiosity that could rival any explorer. Orion is up next, and with a name that makes you think of stars, it’s no surprise he’s always reaching for the heavens. And let’s not forget River, the youngest but certainly not the quietest! His energy is contagious, and his love for singing is as constant as his cuteness. He’ll even sing in his sleep.

As you can tell, they are all different, yet they have a few things in common: they all love God, they love to sing and they came to Timor to be a blessing.

So, let’s give a warm Timor welcome to the Gugu Family! We’re thrilled to have met you in person and can’t wait to see all the incredible things God will do through you. Here’s to a new chapter full of laughter, learning, and plenty of heartwarming moments. May this be the start of a beautiful journey, and may you always remember that God is in control!

With a big, happy welcome,

From Timor, with Love
