Building Progress 2024 – part 2

Yet another whirlwind of hard work and good times blew through Gleno for 2 weeks. As we near the dry season here in Timor, this fun filled storm came with showers of improvising at just about every turn.

Some familiar faces (Chippy, Roni, Canyon, Orion, River and Luke) along with some new ones (Peter and Conrad) joined us to help the project go forward. We could not have achieved so much without each one of them. Peter, Roni’s dad, had always wanted to visit Timor, and finally found the time to fit in a trip—though it wasn’t exactly a vacation! He came to put his construction skills to work and kept everyone busy while he was at it. As for Conrad, while we were in Timor a year before, we got a message from him: “Guess where I am?” Turns out, he was in Timor too! So, we got to meet up for a bit. This time, he came to work with us—well, actually, he was our Chief Tiler in Residence and even stayed an extra week to make sure the tiling was flawless! 😉

So, in three weeks, the building was fitted out for electrical, tiled, windows & doors installed, and prepared for internal lining – to note the major items.

Since a photo is worth 1000 words, I’ll let a few of them do the story telling!

What a year!!! God is good!
